SMCC Demonstrates Commitment to Community Health Through Blood Donation Drives
In a heartfelt display of solidarity and compassion, Sumitomo Mitsui Construction Co., Ltd. (SMCC) organized its 15th (NSCR-CP02 Project) and 16th (MMSP-CP103 Project) Blood Donation Drives in partnership with the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) on October 11th and 25th, 2025, respectively. These initiatives exemplify the company’s unwavering commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility by addressing critical healthcare needs and fostering a culture of humanitarian selflessness.
The blood donation drives aimed to inspire employees to contribute to a noble cause driven by a shared mission to save lives. Careful planning ensured that both events fostered a spirit of volunteerism, resulting in enthusiastic participation from employees across various project sites in Manila and Bulacan. Donors became part of a larger movement that highlights the power of collective action in confronting real-world challenges, embodying the values of compassion and altruism.
Together, our two events celebrated the selfless contributions of 118 amazing donors, including 45 dedicated individuals from the NSCR-CP02 Project and 73 generous contributors from the MMSP-CP103 Project. Each donation represents more than just a pint of blood; each act of kindness brings hope, joy, and the promise of life to those in need, transforming lives one donation at a time. The donation drive included participation from our multinational employees, who share a common goal of donating blood to save children, transcending differences in nationality. Each pint donated contributes to our collective goal of saving lives, demonstrating that even small acts of kindness can make a significant impact on the lives of those who need it most.
Plans for future blood drives and wellness programs are already underway, further solidifying SMCC’s role not only as a builder of exceptional infrastructure but also as a nurturer and supporter of vibrant and healthier communities.
